Weastec supporting Highland County Humane Society
Weastec, Inc. is excited to announce their newest Community Service Project to celebrate Team Honda Cares. Team Honda Cares is normally one week in June that gives suppliers the chance to give back to their communities, but due to the pandemic, has been extended through the three months of summer. During June, Weastec raised money by wearing blue jeans one day at work and then donated all the proceeds to Children’s Services in Hillsboro, Ohio. We have been part of Hillsboro’s community since 1987 and continue to grow and develop throughout. We are very grateful for all the community’s support over the years and are excited to continue to give back.
For the month of July, the Community Service Committee encouraged all associates to bring in items that could be used at the Animal Shelter. We are very excited to partner with the Highland County Humane Society and present them with this donation. Donations from the community are essential for them to provide care to local animals. Items range from pet food, treats, leashes and collars, cleaning supplies, toys, and other pet-related items. The number of items that were brought in for donation was overwhelming. Much of the company donated, despite the circumstances that the pandemic has brought. It is such a blessing to see how much associates care for the community. The month of August will bring a new project for the company. We are partnering with Hoxworth Blood Center to hold a blood drive on site. We are so proud of all the associates and their continuous generosity for the community. We are TeamHondaCares.
