Weastec Partners with Community Action’s Adopt-a-Family
Weastec partnered with Highland County Community Action’s Adopt-a-Family this year just as Santa Claus teams up with Rudolph every year to guide his sleigh! Adopt-a-Family helps provide kids in Highland County with gifts to open Christmas morning, both wants and needs. In 2022, Community Action, with the help of their donors, was able to provide 432 Highland County children with Christmas Gifts. That’s 162 families that would have awoken on Christmas morning with nothing under their tree.
This year, Weastec adopted 12 children to help provide gifts to! Gifts were purchased by individuals and departments, wrapped, and delivered to Community Action. From there, the gifts will be distributed back to the families for the kiddos to open on Christmas morning! By embracing this initiative, Weastec not only provided these kids with essential needs but also sparked a sense of hope and joy during the holiday season.
