Weastec has First Annual Associate Electronics Recycling

On November 18th Weastec had their first annual associate electronics recycling drive. With the proliferation of home electronics, it has become more and more difficult to properly dispose of these electronics. Weastec has partnered with Charitable Recycling in Dayton for this and prior events. Charitable Recycling is a nonprofit organization that collects items that can be recycled or reused to raise money for Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Charitable Recycling accepts cartridges, toners, computers, monitors (no CRT), towers, laptops, printers, scanners, software, APC units, radios, speakers, TVs (no CRT), VCR, copy machines, typewriters, projectors, batteries, office equipment, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, stoves, and other home appliances.

Weastec had drop off stations at our facilities on November 18th. We received over fifty electronics items from our associate. Weastec also had company electronics that were recycled at this and a couple prior events.

We plan to make this an annual event.
