Weastec Christmas Tree Contest Collects Canned Goods for Local Charities
Weastec associates recently participated in a fundraiser for local food pantries by decorating mini Christmas trees and voting on the winner with canned goods. One canned good or non-perishable = one vote.
The winning team was 2nd shift PT & PWM with 515 total items collected!
Second place went to 1st shift PWM. Food was donated to Community Action and the Highland County Homeless shelter.
In total, over 1300lbs of food was donated! This is enough food to match the size of an elk!
The beautiful and funny trees were on display for the Santa Visit held December 10th and each tree received an award certificate for its individual charm.
