Weastec associates volunteering for Summer of Service.
Weastec, Inc. is excited to celebrate another year of Team Honda Cares projects. This year, Honda is making up for lost time and projects due to last year’s cancellation of the Week of Service, by having a Summer of Service. Weastec, Inc. is proud to be a part of the Honda family and to support the local community of Hillsboro, Ohio. We have been a part of Hillsboro’s community since 1987 and continue to grow and develop throughout. We are very grateful for all the opportunities and people that have supported us along the way and are excited to have the ability to give back to the community. For this summer, we have three great projects lined up.

For the month of June, the Community Service committee raised money throughout the company by allowing associates to wear blue jeans on Friday, June 18. Each associate that participated paid $5 as a donation. Many associates chose to donate more than the participation amount. All the proceeds will go to the Children Services organization here in Hillsboro. The number of associates that donated even after such a sad and stressful year of the pandemic is such a blessing. The next project for July will be another donation. However, each department will bring in donations of supplies for the local Animal Shelter for the whole month of July. August then will be a different project. Weastec, Inc. will be holding a blood drive on site, as well as purchasing and donating benches for the new Dog Park and Harmony Lake. We are so proud of the ideas and contributions that the associates have chosen to participate in. We are TeamHondaCares.
