Toyodenso has Opening Ceremony for their Harmony Forest

Toyodenso Co., Ltd., Weastec’s parent company, held the opening ceremony of Toyodenso’s “Harmony” Forest Development on October 5 in support of the “Corporate Forest” activities promoted by Saitama Prefecture with the aim of maintaining the natural environment and improving biodiversity.

Mayor Inoue of Moroyama Town, people from the Moroyama Town Hall, members of the Saitama Prefectural Forestry Division, and the Forestry Department of the Kawagoe Agriculture and Forestry Promotion Center, as well as Toyodenso associates and their families, participated in the unveiling ceremony of the Toyodenso “Harmony” Forest, which commemorates forest improvement activities, and the first reforestation activity.

In a 14 acre town-owned forest in Moroyama Town, forest maintenance such as thinning and clearing, as well as forest maintenance training experience, will be held for five years from 2024 to March 2029. In addition, through these activities, we will foster our corporate philosophy of “harmony,” which has been redefined since the 75th anniversary of our founding two years ago.

In the first forestation activity, under the guidance of the Kawagoe Agriculture and Forestry Promotion Center and the Saito Lumber Store, 22 of our associates and their families used saws to cut down trees, pulling them to the ground with a rope. We aim to expand the space between trees in dense mountain forests through thinning activities, increase the amount of carbon dioxide absorbed by the trees, and allow light to reach the ground, which can be expected to create a variety of plants and a favorable environment for animals and plants。
