TecEngage Committee Fair

In November 2024, Weastec introduced a revamped program that was formerly known as Weastec University. The new initiative, TecEngage, offers associates the chance to participate in various committees. These eight committees are categorized into two groups: Safety & Operational Committees and Health & Communication Committees. The Safety & Operational category features our in-house First Responders, an Associate Safety Committee, and 5S, which focuses on promoting a clean work environment. Meanwhile, the Health & Communication group includes the Health & Wellness Committee, Special Events Committee, Community Service Committee, a committee for our associate app Weastec Connect, and the Weastec Appeal Panel. Associates who join these committees can earn points that are redeemable in our online Weastec swag shop. Those interested in joining are encouraged to participate in committee discussions, attend most meetings, if possible, brainstorm creative ideas and solutions, among other tasks. Additionally, associates can earn passive points by celebrating milestones like birthdays or work anniversaries.

To inform associates about the committees, the committee chairs organized a carnival-themed Committee Fair! At the fair, associates had the chance to explore displays and ask questions directly to the committee chairs. Any associate wishing to sign up for a committee filled out a raffle ticket for that specific committee. The raffle ticket also entered the associate into a drawing for a chance to win Weastec-branded swag!

The fair embarked on an exciting journey through three vibrant cities—Hillsboro, Greenfield, and Dublin—inviting everyone to partake in the joyous festivities. Alongside reviewing the available committees, associates enjoyed popcorn and candy in true carnival spirit. Even without a juggler or clown, the Committee Fair attracted significant interest, with over 40 associates signing up to engage in at least one committee!

After the big top was taken down in the last town, raffle tickets were drawn and winners stepped up to receive their prizes. We are excited to move forward on this path of associate engagement!
