Greenfield & Biodiversity

August 2022, Weastec reopened our Greenfield facility to production and 2 years down the road, the place is buzzing with even more life.

The BioTEC squad went full-on makeover mode, jazzing up the front of the building and the entrance sign. With precision and pizzazz, they handpicked pollinator plants that can handle the Ohio heat like champs. The garden party features echinacea, coreopsis, Japanese silver grass, butterfly bushes, and liriope, all strutting their stuff in front of the building. Bee balm and milkweed joined the party on the left, while Hosta lilies brought the charm on the other side near the cafeteria windows. And let’s not forget those cute compact evergreen shrubs adding a touch of woodland magic without the fuss.

But wait, there’s more! By planting milkweeds, Weastec will soon be on the Monarch butterfly map as a certified Waystation, offering a royal feast to these fluttering monarchs who are in dire need of their milkweed fix. The biodiversity brainstormers are already cooking up plans for a wildflower wonderland in the spring. Watch out Greenfield more eco-magic may be coming your way!
