RoHS II

The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS II) is a European Union directive pertaining to the use of certain hazardous materials in electrical and electronic equipment. A number of materials, commonly used in the automotive industry prior to 2006, have been restricted such as lead, mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium. The primary purpose of this directive is the reduction of toxic electronic waste at end of life of the product. Although specifically a European Union directive it has essentially been applied globally in the automotive industry as components are common among global markets.

Toyodenso’s quality compliance department is responsible for the tracking, elimination and reporting of these hazardous substances. Globally our company has made numerous changes to materials and processes in order to produce products that not only meet the requirements of our customer but also meet the requirements of our environment. Toyodenso remains committed to continuous improvement of the environmental impact that our products and our company has on our global environment.
